Parents Used Meth As 3-Month-Old Boy Ingests The Drug And Dies, Cops Say

Authorities in Indiana say a mother and father were using methamphetamine at the time of their 3-month-old son and another child were in their care and were able to reach the narcotics.

According to Fox News, 32-year-old Deven G. Frisque and 28-year-old Tara L. Savage were arrested this week in two separate locations.

According to Indiana State Police, authorities responded to the apartment in Madison on July 15 and found Eben Frisque unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead and the cause was linked to meth ingestion.

Shortly after his death, both parents were tested for drug use and results showed they had used meth and other narcotics.

It was unclear from initial reports whether the other child in their care that day was exposed to the illicit drug.

Police in Jefferson County arrested Frisque and Savage was apprehended by law enforcement across state lines.

As of the latest reports available, Savage was behind bars in Bedford, Kentucky, where she was arrested. She was still awaiting extradition to Indiana.

According to WTVM, police arrested Savage on Tuesday. Frisque was arrested and booked into jail two days later.

They were awaiting court appearances and details about likely criminal charges were not immediately available.
